Before Covid
I started writing this blog 3 years ago while recuperating from knee surgery. As with most of us, I got distracted by life. Then COVID happened last year. I retired from my career as a flight attendant and decided to start a writing journey. I’ve since published three children’s books from a series that I had created after the birth of my first granddaughter. ( check out the website MaxineandBeanie.com). I’m also writing short stories and some poetry. I’m getting published on Vocalmedia.com. One of my stories was picked up by a local newspaper as well. The Valley Mirror in Pittsburgh.
I’m sure starting a writing career at age 59 isn’t the norm yet here I am! So now I’m following a passion that I wasn’t aware that I had before. I have time for it now. I’m enjoying my retired life. I have started a publishing company earlier this year that I intend to grow. It’s for under represented voices. Representation matters.
I will blog about my journey to this point. I will muse about being a foodie and a world traveler. I’ll tell amusing stories and anecdotes. I’ll talk about my passion for creating and all of the cool and interesting people that I’ve met along this incredible journey. I hope you’ll all enjoy my posts and follow along with me. It’s all about the fun.
Au revoir or until we meet again.
